Paving Services
I've always wanted to learn about something new- a skill that I know I could use in the future, or maybe just for fun. There was one thing I wanted to learn but never found any information on it- paving services. My daughter is about to turn 7, so she's been asking me a lot of questions lately. I always answer her questions and tell her what I know, but I really wanted to learn about paving services so I could teach her about it. So, I did a google search for "paving services", and this website came up. It was titled "How to install the driveway" and it had a link to another blog post titled "Slabs."
This blog post has a lot of pictures of the front walkway at my house. The walkway is brick with pavers running along the sides. It's nice looking because the brick looks like it goes with the paver- but all it really does is look nice. It's a cheap solution, but I'm thinking pavement is going to look way nicer and better than this.
Now, back to my daughter and her questions. I told her I could learn about paving services and we could go to Home Depot or Lowes and look around, but we decided that wasn't the best idea for a first experience with paving services. She asked me if I could call up some pavement installers who would come out during the night (since it was already nighttime when she asked me), and we'd get a few quotes from them and then decide how much to pay for it. I said I could, but then again I didn't know what it would really cost.
Then, my daughter decided she wanted to start by finding a few companies who would come out and give us a quote. She found a few in the internet and called them all up. She told me one was going to charge her $8-500 for the job (for 50-60 yards of driveway), so we decided that wasn't what she wanted to do. The other company's user name was "Paving Services", so we took down their info, looked through their website, and decided they would be fine for the job. We contacted them on Friday afternoon at 4pm and they called me at 6pm. By 9:54pm, they were on the way.
I have to say- everything went perfectly. The guys showed up right on time at 9:30pm and we walked around our front yard and discussed what I wanted to do. They were very professional and explained things in detail. We decided that they would only need a little bit of extra work done, so they took out the old bricks and cut a line down the middle of my brick walkway, putting pavers along both sides of it.
The guys put down two layers: the bottom layer was pea gravel which is good for about 3 years, so we decided to just go ahead and put pea gravel on top of it. The next layer was a good quality asphalt. They didn't go all the way over my lawn because they said that would just cause me to have to get it repainted after a while, so they recommended I leave it just be.
The guys made sure to tell me that if I ever needed any additional services (like power washing, sealing) I could call up their company and they'd be more than happy to help. They were done by about 11pm, so we paid them and went inside for the night. I was so pleased with their work and how clean they left the area. By the time I went to bed, I had already fell so much in love with my new driveway that even my husband was impressed.
The next morning, however, my husband and I thought it looked a little cheap at the edges. So, we did a search on google for "high quality driveway" and we found this website- http://www.productdeliveryrestoration.com/easy-to-install/high-quality-driveway--installation/ . The guy's name was Dustin (I'll try to find a way to post his user name here), and he was very professional. He gave me a lot of ideas on how to make my driveway better and finished the project in 3-4 days.
So, now I have two good looking, quality pavements in my driveway that I'm so proud of! My daughter loves it too. Go figure.

Here are a few things you will want to consider before contacting any of these paving services in your area:
If you want to send them a message, try one of the following contact details:
1. Phone Number – The phone number for Paving Services is usually listed in the Contact page or on their Facebook page, but if not, you can call the company directly. 2. Email Address – An email address is also included in their Contact page or on their Facebook page. If they do not have one, look up their website and send them a message (if they have one). 3. Message Board – Message boards are usually set up for comments, questions and answers about specific services. If you need to ask them a question, or if you have a comment about their service or website, you can use the message board.
4. Social Media Profiles – If your paving company has a Facebook page or Twitter account, you can post a comment there or send them an email through their profile. This is good because it notifies the owner of the company immediately when they log into their account.
5. Advertise on Social Media Platforms – There are many social media platforms that allow small businesses to advertise themselves in exchange for money (Facebook ads, Twitter ads and Google Ads). If you want to advertise your business directly to customers, social media platforms are a great way to do that.
6. Word of Mouth – If you have used their service, go ahead and tell your friends and family about them! You can also leave a comment on their Facebook page or website and give them you honest opinion of the service they have provided.
7. Better Business Bureau – Even if the company is a member of the Better Business Bureau, it does not mean that they will be registered with them right away because they need time to get through their registration process first.
Conclusion :
There are some good paving services out there. There are some bad ones too. When you are looking for a company to do your driveway, make sure you look up their reviews online and see how long they have been in business before hiring them, what kind of work they do and if they have a good reputation in your area. If you find a company that has a few positive reviews on their Facebook page or website, definitely go ahead and check them out! You may be very satisfied with their work!
