How To Kill Procrastination With Your Purpose?!

Once you realise the power of your purpose, it'll transform how you view things and take on a whole new meaning. You’ll start to see the little things that have been holding you back or that have been sabotaging your progress in life. You’ll realise the small ripples that make up what you do everyday and who you are as a person are making a difference to someone else out there who needs someone like YOU. That's when understanding your purpose will help kickstart motivation and keep pushing forward with whatever goal, project or task is at hand.

But the biggest thing that people don't realise when they look at their life and begin to understand their purpose is that it gives you an extra sense of direction over what you should or shouldn't be doing. It'll also allow you to make better decisions on what needs to be done, as well as giving you a push in the right direction of where you want to go. I can't stress this enough. When you know your purpose, getting out of a rut and finding success will become so much easier. You'll feel more confident, motivated and inspired all while feeling at peace with yourself and your surrounding environment because you know what it is that drives everything in your life forward.

Recently I read a great post from The Mindfulness Project and it made me realise that there are so many different kinds of purpose. There's the kind of purpose that a CEO has, the kind of purpose an entrepreneur has and then there's even something that a person who is simply in the process of looking for their purpose might have. I think we all have different types of purpose, and finding yours is more important than ever when you're about to enter into new phases of your life.

When people really understand their purpose, it'll make their work environments better because they will see what they do every day as much more than just work. It'll keep you going when things get tough, and it'll make everything you do feel like part of an amazing journey.

I believe everyone has a purpose that they were put on this earth to fulfill. It's not something that can be taught or learned or something you have to find out for yourself - it already is inside of you and you only have to go within yourself to find it.

If the idea of having a purpose in life seems a little too much for you to handle at this moment in time, then try looking at your future self. Think about the things you want to do, where you want to be and what kind of person you want to become. Think about how it'll feel once you achieve these goals and how great it'll feel when others look at your achievements.

It all starts with asking yourself some questions. You have to find out why you're doing the things that you're doing right now. Is it what YOU really want? And do the things that make YOU happy - don't just go with the flow because someone else is going in a different direction. It's always important to remember that we are all individuals with our own minds, hearts and beliefs. What matters most is who we are on the inside - it's what makes us, us .

I'm not trying to push you into finding your purpose because it's something that I want everyone to find in their own time. I'm only reminding you to stop and think about what it is that makes you happy and why. You might be surprised by how many of the things on your 'wish list' are already part of your life - but maybe not in the way you want them too be. Are there any parts of your life that need improvement? Is there anything holding you back from becoming the best version of yourself?

You don't have to find a reason for everything that happens in life, but at the same time it's always good to have an answer to every question. When you know why you're doing something, it'll make the moment-to-moment decision making process much easier. It'll help you to focus on the things that matter most and make better decisions when it comes to your goals and ambitions in life.

What's your purpose? Love it. Hate it. I don't care - what is yours? It's an important question to ask yourself and one that can have a huge impact on how you view your life. There are so many different kinds of purpose, and finding yours is a process that begins with asking yourself some questions... 1) ...and then answering them truthfully. 2) ...and then acting upon them as soon as you realise the answer. 3) ...and then putting yourself out there to do the things that you love. 4) ...and then achieving something great! 5) ...and most importantly, understand that it's always evolving - so keep striving for more and being the best version of yourself that you can be!
