##Link Categories##    Link Categories are deprecated in WordPress 4.9+ and will not work with WordPress 5+. This topic is for informational purposes only.

If you want to add links to your posts and pages, you have two ways of doing that. The first thing you can do is add links into the content by placing them like this:

Or, if you want to create a link within a sentence, start the sentence with a word or phrase, then put in square brackets [ ], and then finish it off with the link text and URL:

##Internal Links## 
To create an internal link, which is where you are linking to another part of your own site, use this code: Internal Link.

##External Links## 
To create an external link, which is where you are linking to a site other than your own, put in this code: External Link. You don’t need a text after the URL as it will be clear what it is for. For example:

http://www.workwithnathalie.com/ (this will link straight to my website front page)

When you’re writing your posts, you can choose from a rich selection of colours for your links and text, as well as for some tools in the editor. There are also full colour pickers inside the WordPress editor to make it easy to get the perfect colour.

The WP Admin Bar has been updated in WordPress 4.9, so now you can choose colour just like font size and alignment too.


##Text Colour## This topic explains how you can change the colour of your text. There’s a list of available colours that you can use with this relation: [Text Colour].

If you want to change the colour of your text, you will place this code into the editor:

This will give the text a dark grey colour. To change to any other colour, replace #000000 with the hex code of the colour that you want. For example, to make your text white, you would add this code into the editor:

The same applies for all other elements.
