Piggy Bank Stress Of Smoking

 Piggy Bank Stress Of Smoking

Smoking can have a significant impact on your wallet. It's not the cost of cigarettes that are the trouble, but all the other expenses that come along with smoking, like buying a pack or two of smokes every day. Filling up your pockets in these ways is easy at first because you probably don't realize how fast you're spending money on cigarettes and other small expenses like eating out or paying for gas. But it all adds up, and before you know it, you've hit a wall that leads to smoking cessation.
One of the first costs to consider is the money you're blowing on cigarettes. It might be easy to scoff at spending $8-$10 a pack, but once you've reached a certain point of addiction, it becomes much more than that.

Once you're smoking full-time every day, you'll pay around $20 a day (or $2,000 a month) on cigarettes alone. As mentioned above is how much you spend over your lifetime if you smoke every single day of your life.
You'll also spend thousands more in other costs that are caused by smoking. Smoking is the leading preventable cause of death, so it's no wonder there's a large amount to the addiction. You'll pay over $80,000 in medical expenses over your lifetime if you smoke every day. You'll also spend hundreds of dollars on emergency room visits and hospitalizations in your life if you smoke every day.

Smokers also shell out quite a bit of cash for leisure activities. You'll blow $10,000 on average in your lifetime going to bars and restaurants and paying for tickets to events. If you like to gamble, you can easily lose thousands at the casino too because smoking has a tendency to make people more impulsive. By the time you're 65, if you're smoking every day, you'll have lost $250,000 to addiction.

You can save yourself thousands of dollars in the long run by quitting the habit and doing so now. Quitting smoking will save YOU money before your retirement savings even take into account anything else that has to be paid out. There are easier ways to spend money! The cost of tobacco is a significant reason why I quit smoking myself and wish I'd done it sooner. I wish I could have saved all that money.

As a heavy smoker I smoked pretty much every day. Lucky for me I found LASIK Vision Institute who were able to give me the surgery which changed my life and helped me quit smoking completely. It was a simple process and it's still working out for me today. As a non smoker I find myself saving money on things that would have otherwise gone towards cigarettes. I wish I had found LVI years ago but better late than never!

I wish I had done my research about the price of smoking and how much money you could save by stopping. I was a heavy smoker who went through their quit smoking classes and found them helpful, but I couldn't get past the price tag of quitting. In the end I just went through with it and have been smoke free for almost a month now. If you have the money to spare I definitely recommend doing so and getting your procedure done at LVI. They take care of you in-house and perform quality Lasik surgeries which are often times very affordable.

I wish I knew what I know now about the cost of smoking when I first started. I smoked two packs a day for nearly two years straight when I was younger, and would have been one of the most expensive smokers out there. If you can afford it, do what you need to do to keep yourself safe and quit for good.

LASIK is one of the best ways to quit smoking. It's free, the results are amazing, and you can still smoke all you want to after your treatment. Don't leave money on the table.

Conclusion
All of us who have quit smoking understand the benefits involved in quitting. We would have loved to know this information before we started smoking, but it is too late now. I really hope you will consider switching to vaping and ditch your cigarettes as soon as possible.
