You can't always control the hand you're dealt in life, but that doesn't mean that you can't play the best game possible. You can still make hard work pay off. Just because you don't get it all on your first try doesn't mean that there's not something else out there for you to have a go at, and often it's in the trying times where we grow and learn the most.
Sometimes what seems like a disaster is actually our own undoing, so keep going. Know when to take a chance and when to take it easy. The more that we don't let ourselves make mistakes the better we will become at life, but it's also important that we learn from our failures and mistakes. It only keeps us growing and improving as individuals.
We're all human, after all, and learning from each other is always a wonderful thing to do, so be nice to those around you. There's no point in sticking up for yourself when you can say something nice about someone else. Not everyone is a jerk, after all. They might not have everything going for them all the time like we do but who cares? Everyone deserves to feel good about themselves every now and again.
So when you do meet someone new, be kind. If they're a complete jerk then it's okay to say something. We all want someone to be nice to us, so it doesn't matter if they don't deserve it right away. Everyone deserves kindness, so if you see someone being really nice to a person who doesn't know what's going on then it only makes sense for you to give them the same treatment that they're giving others.
Being cruel is never a good thing, and no one wants to be around that on a regular basis. If you see someone being kind and not getting anything equal back then it only makes sense that you should show them the same affection in return. Not everyone is going to like everyone that they meet, after all. Some people aren't nice and some people just aren't their type. It doesn't mean that they're a bad person, just that they don't like that person's personality.
So when you're at a party or meeting with a group of people then remember to be kind to everyone. If someone is being rude or offensive then it's only right that you let them know as soon as possible and make sure that you give them your attention for the rest of the night. Not everyone is going to be a lovely person though, so don't get upset if someone isn't nice towards you all the time. Let it go and move on with your life.
If you want to make sure that you're still a nice person then it also helps to know when someone is being really, really kind to you and let them know that you appreciate it, too. It can be hard to figure out whether or not someone is genuine, so let your emotions and instincts guide you on this one. Listen with caution and take the time to get a feel of their personality before making any rash decisions about their character.
Sometimes we have a tendency of judging people who are mean right away, but not everyone has the same reactions or feelings towards everyone else. It may take some time to figure out exactly what someone is all about, but you can at least make sure that you're being as kind as possible in order to give yourself a fighting chance.
We all want to be treated good, so let's all make sure that we treat others in the same way. It's not hard to be good most of the time and if you're feeling confident then it's going to be easier for you to spread kindness around. Just remember that we can only do the best that we can do with the hand that we've been dealt and there are definitely some people out there who are definitely doing better than us at this exact moment in life.
So keep trying and never give up. There's always something good to come out of life, so don't worry about missing the mark. There's plenty of time to improve and you can do your best with what you have, so just give it your all every day. It doesn't matter how many times you mess up. What matters is how much you learn as a person and how much better you become as a human being along the way.
Be nice to everyone and always remember that there is always a brighter tomorrow ahead for you if only we'd stop getting caught up in things that are not happening right now but will happen soon enough. We need to appreciate the time that we have on this planet. When we are with people who are not nice, just remember that they are only acting this way because of their own experiences in life.

You never know when someone is going through a hard time in their life and needs a little bit of help or kindness along the way, so let's all be there for one another.
