A Very Simple Guide To Learn Numerology

Numerology is a metaphysical and spiritual practice and system of interpretation that assigns numerical values to the letters in a person's name. The numbers assigned offer an insight into the nature of the person's innermost self and destiny. There are also numerological scales that quantify different life areas, such as physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, intellectual and quotidian aspects.

By simply considering your name or birth date you can get an idea how you are influenced by certain numbers in particular circumstances such as luck.
In numerology, names and dates are broken down into a series of numbers and the letters of each number are assigned special significance. The basic concepts used to interpret the meaning of names and birth dates are quite simple to understand.

There is a huge amount of information available in regard to Numerology. This article is a simple guide that will make it easy for you to get started with Numerology. If you want more information, I strongly encourage you to research further – there's plenty available on the internet. The only tools you need to begin are a pen and paper, which can be easily obtained from any office supply store.

Here are the basic steps:

1. Decide how you want to do Numerology. Do you want to know how your name or birth date is related to people in your life? Do you want to find out who The One is? Or do you want a more general overview of your personality and future? Each method has its pros and cons. Ultimately, the choice should be yours but I will try to help! If you would like more than just an overview consider buying one of the many books on Numerology that are available today.

3. Write down your current birthday, in numerological format, for example: 0 1/4/1970.

4. Write down the year you were born, in numerological format, for example: 1992.

5. Write down the month and day of your birthday, for example: 1/4/1970.

6. Add all three numbers together. This gives you your numerical value or "Karmic number". For example, 1+4=5 equals a five letter or "Karmic name". Write it down.

7. Now take the last two of your numbers and add them together. This gives you your "Number of Personality", for example: 2+1=3 equals a three letter name which is usually a more phonetic one because of the way our brain interprets sound. Write it down.

8. Now divide each number by 10. This is your Numerological Value. In our example, 1/4/1970 becomes 1+4+1+9+7+0=21 divided by 10, which equals 2.1

9. Now add the two values given in step 8 together, which in our case is simply 2 and 1 for a total of 3. This gives us our Life Path Number.

10. Now go to the Numerology Table and look under the Life Path Values heading and find your number on the left hand side of the chart. On the top half of the chart listed are your personality traits (how you express yourself) and on the bottom half are your gifts (how you interact with others). Pay particular attention to the 2nd and 3rd columns, which list your positive and negative traits.

11. With this information you can begin to analyze the numerical influences in your life. For example, if you have a 3 Life Path and a 1 Life Path (3+1=4) then you are expressing yourself creatively while interacting with others in a practical way. You are very well balanced! Remember, there is nothing right or wrong with this – it is just numbers! It's just like looking up your astrological symbol in an almanac or looking up your sign on an astrology website – it simply gives you additional information about yourself and how you interact with the world around you.

12. Repeat steps 7, 8 and 10 for each of your birth dates or names. When you have completed this step you will have considered all of the numbers in your chart and found out how they influence you as a whole.

13. Count the Life Paths, Personality and Gifts that are represented in your chart. For example, if you have a two Life Paths (2) representing two positive traits then there will be three total numbers in your chart, which is 3 Life Paths (3) one positive trait (1) and two negative traits (0). If there is only one number in your chart that means that it is a sign and has no numerical value.

14. Find a Numerology Master Chart that corresponds to what you have learned in step 13 and determine where your numbers are located in the chart. This is an excellent exercise to help you reinforce your learning. It's as if your chart becomes a magnifying glass, allowing you to look more closely at yourself.

15. Refer back to step 10, 11 and 12 for additional information on how the Numerological Values relate to your Life Paths, Personality and Gifts [TIMES THREE].
