Does Hypnosis Work?

 Does Hypnosis Work?

It's a question that's been asked many times before and is still being discussed today. For decades, doctors have used hypnosis to treat patients with a variety of problems including depression, smoking addiction, and pain management. So does it really work?

In the spirit of fairness, we'll explore both sides of the argument. Then you can make up your mind for yourself!

On one hand there are many documented cases where people were successfully treated using hypnotherapy. On the other there are just as many where people were not helped at all by hypnotherapy. In fact, there are some studies that suggest that hypnotherapy is not very effective at all.

In this article we will look at both sides of the argument and then you can decide for yourself whether hypnotherapy works.

Hypnosis is a form of deep mind control where a person is placed in a special state of consciousness where they are highly suggestible. In this way hypnosis can be used to treat people with a wide range of problems including depression, insomnia, smoking addiction and even pain management.

In some cases hypnotherapy has clearly been effective. For example, many asthma sufferers have found that using hypnosis can make their asthma symptoms much less intense and less frequent. Now that's what I call value for money!

Many people have also successfully used hypnosis to quit smoking. But a lot of people who try hypnosis to quit smoking still end up smoking again, which then raises the question "does hypnosis work?" In this case it clearly does not.

So we can see that what works for some does not work for others. So why is this? Why do some people respond well to hypnotherapy and others do not? Is it because certain types of people are more easily hypnotized than others? And even if they are hypnotized, can they be held in that state long enough to benefit from it?

Well in fact there is some evidence to support these views.

For example, hypnotizability is a very real scientific phenomenon and it has been shown to be highly correlated with how well a person responds to hypnosis. In other words, people who are highly hypnotizable are much more likely to respond well.

Then there's the question of how long can someone be held in the hypnotic state? In fact hypnosis is not a state of being where you're in some kind of trance for an extended period of time. This is a myth! In fact it's quite the opposite.

In hypnosis, the person is actually in a state of heightened alertness and focus. This is why it can be so relaxing and enjoyable. However, because of the heightened state of focus, it can be very difficult to hold someone in this state for an extended period of time.

So does hypnosis work? Yes and no! If you're highly hypnotizable then it probably will work for you, but if not then you might be wasting your money. And there are no guarantees that it will work anyway. It's all chance really!

And this brings me to my final point which is...

The key to successfully using hypnosis is knowing how to hypnotize yourself. In fact you can do this right now. All you need to do is learn the secrets of self hypnosis which can be found in the free self hypnosis course at the link below:

Results From SelfHypnosis-Training.com News #2: Hypnotherapy - 6 Secrets To Being Highly Hypnotizable As a child, did you ever play with a ball made of rainbow colored plastic? This used to be sold in most toy stores as "astral projection balls". If you rolled it on the floor, it would rotate and change colors rapidly until it came to a stop. Then the child would be able to see a very vivid dream or other visions while they slept. If the ball stopped moving or changed colors too slowly it was believed that this meant the child was not very hypnotizable.

What is Hypnotism?

Hypnosis is a trance like state which produces an altered state of consciousness in which, according to numerous studies and experiments, humans can learn information and skills that they normally could not learn while awake. It's very real, it helps people all over the world, and it's completely legal in most countries. With everything considered, I would consider hypnosis as just another method among many others.

Conclusion

To conclude, hypnosis can be used to help people across the world in many different ways. Many people are using hypnosis to improve their lives and bring changes that they desire. For example, many people use hypnosis to lose weight, overcome phobias, control their emotions and increase their self confidence.
