For more than 10-years I have been wearing a "Disaster Survivor" cap with "Phishing Scams", and in the last couple of years, while I've been doing this, I had no idea that there are over 7 million such phishers out there.

I made that realization this morning when suddenly my phone chimed and I saw the following from Google:

"You might be interested in these other searches." One of them was to check the ID of someone who said he/she had just made money on Google adsense. When you click on it, it says "Did You Know?". Underneath is a list of different phishing scams.

So, I decide that I should do my own search to see what phishing scams are out there. As you might imagine, I found a lot of them and here are the top 3:

"What Your Credit Score Means To You" "The Identity Protection Secret" "How to Make Money on Google Adsense with a Facebook Fan Page."

If these 3 were…just any one…these posts would have been enough to keep me up all night. But, as you will see from this article, they are just the tip of the phish iceberg. Even though it is only Tuesday and there are still 7 million more out there ready to pounce on you when you least expect it.

Make sure you do your own search before you decide to go ahead with any of these 3 or any other so-called home business. Also, make sure that you read the following stories and tell me what you think:

I blogged about this story a few days ago but again, I was a little late. I never blogged it so I thought I should catch up. The reason I am posting it again is because there are still a lot of people who need to be warned that these things are out there and they can ruin everything in your life as well as your children's lives.

If you read this story, and if you have children, you should also tell them. And, please, please, please keep a close watch on any emails from anyone with the word "secured" in them. They are not secure.

The Hounds That Got Away

I have a little saying: "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." It amazes me the number of people who don't seem to know that things that sound too good to be true probably are and then they get burned when they go ahead and try them – even though some of them are very careful about not giving out personal information.

I thought this was one of those stories but I was wrong. In fact, I have now changed my mind. If there is a lesson in this story, it is that there is hope for everyone. This could happen to anyone – even you.

The Unsolicited Copy of an Unknown Publication

As far as I know, I have never posted a story like this before. Perhaps because there are so many of them out there, but this one is also different from the others because it might not necessarily happen to you. You might find it very interesting though and you might want to share them with your friends and family.

I found this when I was browsing through the list of "Phishing Scams" that I came across in my search on Google. Needless to say, I was really surprised at what I found.

The Real Details of How the Government is Using Our Social Security Numbers

This story, which I want to believe was written by Noam Chomsky, isn't any different from the others except for all the others are known as scams. This one is not and it scares me more than all the other scams put together because it could happen to anyone.

I suggest that you read this before you click on one of those links. You wouldn't want someone stealing your social security number – even if you don't have any money, would you? I'm sure that there are some people out there who are saying "No. I would never do that."

I received an email from the following link: http://www.chomsky.info/articles/1987300

This is a music story – just like all the others. The truth is that I am not really a big fan of rock music but there are some songs which I really like which I will admit to listening to on a regular basis even though I usually don't care for the song after I have heard it once or twice.

It was an email from this story that reminded me of another song I really like and listen to a lot. The band is called "Muse."

I just wanted to write a short review on it. I don't know if the reviewer is right or wrong about it but he is entitled to his opinion.

1 hour, 20 minutes and 52 seconds of my life that I will never get back. Maybe you can do something with some of it and you might enjoy it more than I did.

I actually got an email from someone asking me what I thought if they bought the CD based on my review here jekyllandhydeparking2 . Told you it was different.

A few years ago, I was listening to the radio and I heard a song which changed my life. It is called "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy" by this group named "Kenny Chesney."

This is such a good song that I had to post it here so that you can listen to it. My favorite part is what they are saying at 1:34 which goes like this:

"Well she thinks my tractor's sexy,

That's all right with me, that's all right with me." Click here for Kenny Chesney or you can just click on the link below although this one isn't as good as the first one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nm5E1nCNT_E

I wonder if there is a connection between G-String and the woman who thought my tractor was sexy.

Conclusion

The purpose of this site is to inform the general public about things that they might not know. There is a lot of information on this site that may be useful to everyone. Even though most of it deals with the subjects of scams, it could also be useful to someone in a related field as well. It's all up to you to decide if I am worth reading and what you think about me. :)
