Wisdom and Cultural Sensitivity

  Wisdom and Cultural Sensitivity

The wisdom of the East and the sensitivity of the West! Are these two themes coexisting in today's cultures? The answer lies with how people interact with their environments and how we treat one another. As society embraces a multicultural world, it is becoming harder to ignore other cultures without drawing negative experiences. Hence, it is important that we be more cautious when dealing with others from different backgrounds because they are not necessarily as understanding as those from our own culture. It would be too easy to assume that someone who lacks cultural sensitivity understands everything about another culture when there are still so many cultural barriers to cross; this can cause unnecessary conflict and misunderstanding.
The world of today is a global community that not only shares the same cultural values. We also share many similar beliefs, as well as some common mistakes and mistakes in understanding the actions of others from different cultures. Our society today has become too sensitive and this can lead to a lot of misunderstandings.
Famous American anthropologist Margaret Mead once said, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." No matter what your beliefs are, it is easy for us to see the influence that people from other cultures can have when they are open minded enough to accept other ideas and beliefs. This may not be easy at times for the people who are new to another culture and their own background, but it is a way of striking a balance between being sensitive and being open minded.
The society that we live in today has become one where we must take what another culture has to offer, as well as the differences that exist in each of us. There are so many things that we can learn from one another. The world is a global community and all cultures should learn to share what they have learned from one another. We should also learn how these different cultures can work together to find solutions for common problems, such as pollution. We must learn to live together as one global society.
This world is a beautiful place where people have the privilege of being able to relate to so many different cultures and backgrounds. But there are still few things that can be easily overlooked when it comes to how we deal with other cultures. We may not always understand them in a way that we expect or wish they would, and this leads to misunderstanding throughout our everyday life. It is easy for us to make assumptions about someone's background without knowing if these assumptions are correct, but it need not be like this at all.
If we learn to be more tolerant and understanding of another culture, we can learn from them rather than only from the stereotypes that we have been socialized to embrace. Although it is not always easy, the rewards that come with opening yourself to another culture can be breathtaking. We have a lot in common and we should not be interrupted by how different our cultures are.
It is important for us to know how to deal with those who do not share the same background as us. It is also important for us to understand and respect each other's backgrounds if we want to create a world where everyone belongs in a place they feel at home without feeling isolated or alienated from others who are different than ourselves.
If we want to be sensitive to other cultures, we need to know the basics of how a person from another culture thinks and feels. This is something that will take time for any person, but if you have an open mind and will see the possibilities of learning something new, you could possibly go far. The world is not always as easy as it may seem, but it is a lot easier when you are at ease with yourself and those around you.
The art of being open minded is one that takes practice. We must learn to respect and embrace those who are different from us in a way that makes everyone feel comfortable and accepted. In order to achieve this, we must be willing to do just that: accept one another for what we are and how we feel, rather than judging anyone for our own sake.
To live in a global world where we are all the same is impossible because it is human nature to be different. No matter how hard some people try, they will never get used to everything when it comes to cultural differences. So instead of focusing on the idea of understanding another culture completely, it is more important for us to learn how to accept other cultures for what they are and try our best not to judge them.
This is how we can use our own wisdom to connect with the cultural sensitivity that is out there. And this is how we can come together and live in a global community where we are all one.

It was tough being an early settler of Canada, especially if you were not English. There was a lot of prejudice because people did not see the French and the English intermarrying as a good thing. The fact that we got along shows that they did not let it affect their relationship while they lived in Canada; instead, it was what brought them together.
The Iroquois always loved to fight and were great warriors. They were known as the great war-chiefs and could expand their territory with ease. They were a peaceful tribe and rarely fought with other tribes. When war was waged, they would make their stand against the enemy by making their way up to the enemy's camp where they would then cut down the enemy in big numbers. We have known a lot about these warriors because of what they did in order to protect themselves from their enemies.
We know that these warriors would travel as far away as Quebec in search of land to settle on. This means that they had a lot of spare time during long travels so it is not hard to imagine how they kept themselves entertained. While they were on the roads, they would use this time to practice their fighting skills and expand their fighting tactics. They had two types of weapons: short weapons, which were used against fighters who were in the front lines, and long weapons, which were used against fighters who stood on the back lines but also against those who came over from above.
They have been known to have a lot of enemies and even though they could fight with no problem at all, they always thought that it was better to stay away from conflict. They liked to watch and see what their enemies would do before making a move. They needed to be given an aggressive action or else they would not attack.

Conclusion
The Iroquois were very skilled fighters and they had a strong relationship with their enemies. It is interesting to know that they would fight on foot or on horseback depending on the battle that was taking place. The warfare they made use of was really advanced because it allowed them to be able to fight in different ways and how to handle all situations. They really wanted to defend themselves against their enemies even if it meant making big sacrifices in order to achieve this.
By having the right kind of weapons, they were able to defeat any of their enemies with ease.
