Can’t see your LCD screen in the sunlight? Use a sunshade.
A LCD screen is an electronic device that displays information. However, when your LCD screen is placed in direct sunlight, it becomes difficult to see what's on the screen. To avoid this problem, you can use a sunshade to block out the light. If you're traveling abroad or just need a little more coverage for your screen while abroad, sunshades are affordable and functional accessories that will ensure your peace of mind and make a world of difference! This guide discusses where sunshades can be purchased online as well as how they should be used:
-In general: They should be attached at a 45-degree angle towards the front of the display so they don't shade too much into what's on your display. Sunshades should be a minimum of 10mm thick.
-While abroad: Sunshades should be used to block out the directness of the sunlight on your display or when outside for extended periods of time. A screen protector may be necessary if your LCD screen is delicate.
The following is a list of Useful Items for both Home and Around the World usage:
-Sunshade (10mm thickness) – This should be attached at an angle towards the front of your LCD screen to minimize its exposure to sunlight. It can also be used to shade specific areas as needed (See photo below).
-Screen protector (for delicate LCD screens or that cover the entire display) - Screen protectors should be easy to remove but should not be able to completely cover the screen. They provide a light barrier that prevents the screen from getting too dirty and protects it from just about everything.
-Sunshade Case – If you bring your sunshade along with you, make sure it fits in your bag or can fit inside of another case or bag without scrunching up the sunshade. There are also some compact cases available for this purpose. They come with ample compartments to hold other items easily and are designed to be easy to carry around since they are mostly flat. If you bring your charger with you, make sure it fits into your bag or can fit inside of another bag without squishing the charger. There are also some compact chargers available for this purpose. They come with ample compartments to hold other items easily and are designed to be easy to carry around since they are mostly flat.

-Universal Charger (Mini + Micro USB) – It will come in handy for charging electronics on the go as well as charging a mobile phone at night. It can be used with most Android, Blackberry, and Apple phones.

-Hand Wipes - Hand wash if you've been on the go all day and have dirty hands. Otherwise, you can use these to wipe your device clean of fingerprints and other smudges. (See photo below)
-Peelable Shower Curtain – These are useful for showering when you don't have access to a towel. They are water resistant and can be easily removed from the rod when finished using them. (See photo below). Also known as a "shower saver".
-Mirror - Handy for checking your reflection when you're putting on make up, cleaning your teeth, or doing any other personal grooming.
-Hand Sanitizer - Hand wash if you've been on the go all day and have dirty hands. Otherwise, this can be used to sanitize your devices after handling them in public places such as subways and buses. (See photo below)
-Earphones – Good quality earphones will allow you to enjoy music and podcasts in high quality without disturbing anyone around you. The light and compact ones are easy to store in a bag or purse when not in use. (See photo below).

-Bag/Case – It should be able to carry your laptop, mouse, power supply, and accessories comfortably. The fabric should be strong and water resistant. (See photo below).
-Extra USB Charger - It is useful for charging a mobile phone on the go as well as charging a laptop or tablet in an emergency situation. (See photo below)
-Extra Cover/Protector for Laptop (Padded or Rubberized) – This helps protect your laptop from getting scratched while traveling. It will also prevent it from getting dirty or wet if it's not in a bag. (See photo below)
-Sleeping Bag – If you plan on staying overnight somewhere, this can come in handy if there isn't any other way to keep warm. (See photo below).
-Little LED Flashlight – This is useful for reading in the dark as well as seeing properly in low light conditions. It should be bright enough to illuminate a small area at a distance. (See photo below)
