This is not a competition but it is a good idea to try and see if you can avoid smoking for 3 months, or if you have no other choice chew gum when you smoke. Chewing gum is one of the most effective methods of reducing stress. It is like having a small workout exercise when you smoke a cigarette. You can also try to take up meditation, walking in nature, yoga, breathing and anything that relaxes you. If you are looking for a complete relaxation system then I would suggest Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction which involves daily practice.
“My son is a high school senior and I am planning on adopting someone new in his life this next year for his 18th birthday so he can be involved with someone else’s family for the first time and learn what it's like to have another male figure in his life (my son was adopted) . . . . . . . . . . Your answers have been the best advice I have come across.”

“My husband and I will start a routine of going on walks, running and riding bikes together on a regular basis. It's been hard to get back into our exercise routine since having kids, but reading your book has given us motivation to improve our own health as well as being positive role models for our child and hopefully encourage them in the future to stay fit and healthy as well.”

Loving kindness meditation – https://www.mindbodygreen.com/0_mindfulness___loving_kindness__meditation__55356/
Thank you so much! It's a daily practice but it's helped me more than I can say. I'm now a certified MBSR instructor and was in the process of writing a book when I stumbled upon your article this morning. I've been practicing meditation on and off for years but found that bringing mindfulness into my life has made all the difference in helping me live with this awful disease (RA).
“I'm about halfway through your book, and I'm really enjoying it. I like how you're saying that people should take it slow and not expect to change overnight. I've been trying to change my habits for years, but it's been hard because I feel like everything has to happen all at once or nothing will ever get done. Thank you for reminding me that baby steps are the way to go!”

How to Control Your Emotions - https://www.mindbodygreen.com/0_how_to_control_your_emotions__55356/
I recently went on a cycling trip with a friend. I need to set up a route where I am going to go on several rides in a day and find out if the homeopathic drops will take effect so that I can continue to use them during my cycling trips. The effects were less powerful than I expected, but it was still effective. So according to this article, it is likely I have an under developed immune system and not enough iron in my diet. It's better to increase these factors by taking supplements than try eating well and exercising regularly when they are not really there.
Thank you so much for your time, effort and insight. I have been trying to find out what has my husband down. He's a very senior executive in the health care industry of one of the biggest hospitals in the nation, so he has a very intense and challenging job. On top of that, he is also a single parent to our 8 year old son. So on top of everything else he feels that he cannot share his true feelings with anyone including me. As I read your book I was immediately struck with how good you are at penetrating people's defenses and helping them come out of their shells enough to actually interact with you on an emotional level, which is rare in today's world. I feel that you have a gift and heart and can help people overcome their fears and pain. I also believe that your writing will be helpful for many others suffering from a number of issues. Thank you again for your time and effort in creating your book, it is very well written and I look forward to reading more from you.

Thank you so much for sharing your story. As someone who has been on the emotional roller coaster since birth, I really appreciate the honesty & openness in this post.
“I have been feeling really low recently, I'm a teacher and have been trying to leave my job for the last 2 years after being made redundant 3 times in the last 4 years, but can't find anything (remember this is in Queensland, Australia). I applied for a government program that assists teachers who are struggling financially with finding alternate jobs.... Today I got a call from them saying that my application was approved and I would be getting $10k per pay period to help me find work. I can't believe it, all of your advice is so helpful! Thanks”

What supplements do you recommend? - https://www.mindbodygreen.com/0_what_supplements_do_you_recommend__55356/
As I’m currently in my first year of university and have been trying to find ways to make myself feel better, I’ve become very interested in practicing mindfulness. So far, it seems that the only thing that has really helped my depression is yoga. After one particularly bad day, I was really struggling and felt like there wasn't a way out. Then one of my friends mentioned that she had been doing an exercise called “Tibetan Death Touch” and how it had helped her more than any other type of yoga she had ever done.

“I am a 100% free woman, I am free at all times, even when I am doing the dishes. I don't feel the need to do things to make anyone else happy except myself.”
I was very inspired by your message of helping others and creating future generations that will be better than we are now. My father is in his seventies and is recovering from prostate cancer surgery and chemotherapy (we are very proud of him). He has been living on disability for over a year now as he is still unable to work fully.
