Snoring On Both Genders

 Snoring On Both Genders

Snoring is a sleep-related breathing disorder that’s more common than you might think. The sound of snoring is caused by vibrations in the soft tissues in your throat and mouth. Snoring can sometimes happen on both genders, and the chances are greater if you have a large neck or tongue that causes the airway to narrow.

Boys tend to snore more often during puberty because of hormonal changes, but it's not as common among adult men as it is among adult women.

The most common snoring sound from both genders is not being able to breath out of your nose. When your body is not exhaling all the trapped air in the lungs, you get a sense of having difficulty breathing. The soft palate rests against the back of your throat causing a narrowing in your airway, and preventing normal airflow.

If this happens, you will have problems sleeping at night and will wake up tired in the morning. Your sleep cycle can be affected if you're constantly being woken up by snoring sounds because it can disrupt the sleep pattern in your brain, which results to daytime drowsiness and fatigue.

Snoring also causes more serious health problems. When you are experiencing difficulty breathing, it can put you in a very dangerous situation if you are sleeping alone and there is no one to wake you up or seek help. Snoring can also lead to sleep apnea, which is a more serious sleep-related breathing disorder that causes the person who has it to stop breathing for short periods of time during sleep.

Snoring is common in both genders, but it’s more common among adult women. If you have trouble breathing while sleeping, and you snore at night, visit your doctor quickly, because he can recommend some treatments for reducing or getting rid of this problem.
