Comparing Digital Camera Features

 Comparing Digital Camera Features

Choosing the right digital camera can be difficult, given the wide range of different models and features for sale today. At some point though, you need to choose which camera will work best for your needs.

In this article, I'll go over what some of the major features are in digital cameras and how they can make a difference in choosing the perfect camera. I'll also give a comparison of what to look out for when comparing models, so that you can find one that will suit your specific needs best.

6) Describe an experience where you discovered something new or improved upon an old skill.

-I read a book once that was about a man who had lost his hearing. He decided to work on some of his old skills - but needed other people to relay the information to him. For example, if he was doing the dishes and you asked him how he was doing, he could ask if you would tell him when you asked "are you doing well?" He understood it in his head and could do it himself but didn't feel able to do it vocally. It was an extremely powerful story - and helped me to understand that there are things I take for granted (like walking down the street) that can be challenging for others on the spectrum. He was able to work on some of his old skills - like riding a bicycle. I had never thought about it before, but vision is a major part of the process we use when riding a bike and often, it is difficult for people with autism.
"Your Assignment: Finding an interesting topic related to autism that interests you."
This week, I want you to go out and do some research on your own - since many of the submissions this week were about identity, I would like you to find something that relates more strongly your own life. In class on Monday, we will be talking about disability activism (specifically of people with disabilities) on campus and around the globe. I would like you to bring an example of your own activism to share with the class.
This is also the week when we will be preparing for our reflection journal - while I'd normally give this to you next week, since midterms are coming up, I want you to start thinking now about what it is that you have learned in your classes this semester and which skills were the most useful or interesting in each class.
I will also be looking for a creative way that you can demonstrate your creativity by creating an assignment using an Evernote note (which we discussed briefly during our collaboration). You'll get a chance to submit that on Tuesday.
I'm really interested in what you have to share this week - and I can't wait to read it.
"Your Assignment: Your reflection journal or Evernote assignment."
This week is the due date for your reflection journal or your introduction to your evernote assignment - if you are nervous about getting started, I have provided a few ideas for each of these below. I'm sure you have many more creative ideas as well!
Reflection Journal:
Remember that reflection is meant to be a synthesis of what you've learned at Georgia Tech - so as you think about it, think about what is it that your taking away from the different areas of study in your classes this semester. You can use the questions I provided previously to help guide your thoughts.
It might also be helpful to ask yourself - what did I expect to learn before this class and how does what I am learning now compare (in terms of importance, or a new way of thinking)?
Evernote Assignment:
Use this link for more information on Evernote :  https://www.evernote.com/about/handbook/
Here are some ideas to get you started:
Do an image search of something that represents the topic we are covering this week (autism) and find 5 images that show different facets of autism.
Can you sketch out a timeline of how your definition of autism has changed? How has your view on autism changed since you were a child?
Create a slide show with specific examples of public perception of autism in action. Include pictures, video, and text to illustrate the examples.
Can you summarize the typical life expectancy of someone with autism?
Now is a good time to start planning for your introduction to Evernote which will be on Tuesday. It can be anything that shows your creativity and/or is interesting to you! Consider taking photos, creating a slide show, or even writing an original poem. You will have 30 minutes to impress me.
This week, I'm really interested in what you have to share - and I can't wait to read it! As always, your questions are welcome - but responses must be submitted through email at ______________ .  Due dates are subject to change (see below).
Are you tired of not being able to find a way to fit in at Georgia Tech? Your new friend may be just around the corner!
"Your Assignment: Open-ended Response"
I'm glad you asked that question - and I think it is an important topic, given everything we've been discussing in class this semester. That's why I want you to think about it now - and use the question as a starting point for your reflection journal. Your questions will add additional depth to your reflection, so start thinking about it today!
Do you still wish that someone had taken time out of their busy schedule to come listen at one of your speaking events? You're not alone! Check out this website :  https://www.speakmylanguage.org/

Conclusion of the semester:
If you have been praying about it, now is the time to ask God if there is a way for you to become more involved with Spectrum.  You can email me at _______________ (at) gtc.gatech.edu .
